We all like to have our music while out on the trail. Unfortunately, the great outdoors are not so great on our stereo equipment. Wheeling in Moab doesn?t take but a couple of trips to turn the CD player into a CD sander.

Give it a few more years and the speakers will start to show their wear as well. And for those that argue to the contrary: real Jeepers do it open air, yeah I said it, open air.
So when we wandered past the SSV Works booth and saw the really sweet all-weather/condition proof sound systems, we had to stop and check it out. SSV stands for Side-by-Side Vehicle, so they?re designed to work in possibly the only less enclosed vehicle than a Jeep. Sadly, none of their equipment is for us Jeepers... yet. But hopefully it will be soon and we wanted to tell you about it anyway. |

This aftermarket, stand-alone soundbar system works first and foremost with IPods. After a simple two wire hookup on your ATV (In time it?s coming for Jeeps they tell us and will be just as easy), you simply drop your IPod into the receiver, close up the water tight compartment, and you are ready to rock - pun intended. The whole system is replicas de relojes controlled via remote control, so it doesn?t require splicing into any part of your factory stereo. If you?re not caught up in the Apple music player onslaught, the system will also work off of any 3.5 mm audio jack (your headset plug-in).
At this time they have not released dates or prices for the Jeep market. BUT, maybe with a little feedback they could be motivated along more quickly (hint hint). |
